Type A Meets Type B

A rambling of thoughts, ideas, and information that I wish to share with my fellow PB bloggers. Sounds like fun, right? Bonus: communicating this way doesn't use up cell phone minutes!

eh

So this is a replication of the Take Home Instruction Sheet from my recent visit to Dr. Chung.

"Impressions:
  1. Asthma
  2. Allergic Rhinitis
  3. probable Pleurisy
  4. Thrush"

I'm not going to type out all the instructions she gave me for care of such maladies, or even comment on the extreme irritation/anger I feel about having thrush, but may I say, I truly feel ill.

On the bright side, however, I got my first two official nursing school tests back and I did well. I have no idea about how clinical/lab is going to turn out, but the objective/numeric part is going splendidly. However, for it to continue to go splendidly, I must now go to study for next week's double batch of tests. Say a little prayer for me if you would.

dusk and summer

I know you all thought I had forgotten my poor little blog. Actually, I've just been quite, quite busy with the first two weeks of nursing school. I actually started feeling guilty when I noticed the plethora of posts at the Beehive, so, here we are.

Nursing school is already the hardest thing I've ever done, and I haven't even taken the first test yet. And school is my major skill in life. Talk about your humbling sensations.

However, I am starting to overcome the overwhelmedness I have been feeling, so that's good.

For those of you who think you are in the coolest city to hang in, I'd like to inform you that you are wrong. Birmingham is the hot, happening PB hang-out these days. Dustin and I are truly enjoying hosting little mini-get-togethers at our apartment (pizza and watermelon included), as well as visiting Elyow'eynay, Cal-El, Owl of the Desert, and Table of Stone when they host the mini-get-togethers.

And! I made new friends at nursing school. Miraculous. I haven't made a real new friend in quite some time, so it's pretty exciting. I've joined a little carpool group with 2 of the girls, and wouldn't ya know it, 1 of them is right next door to Table and Owl! I left little notes on their cars this morning, which made me smile probably more than it did them. But whatever. It was good.

Oh, pity story. I broke my right pinky toe on my birthday! Which is totally unfairly uncool. And also giving me a good excuse to not exercise like I need to be doing.

This post is much too long. I have salmon and sweet potatoes to cook. Toodles!!!!
